Keyword and prompt research by market

Turn search keywords and conversational questions into a prioritized content plan without treating AI prompts as search-volume data.

The short answer

Keyword research helps you understand search demand and competing pages. Prompt research explores the questions and follow-up tasks people may bring to answer engines. A keyword’s search volume is not the volume of an AI prompt, and a list of prompts does not prove that your audience asks them at a measurable frequency.

Keep two kinds of evidence separate

Keyword research helps you understand search demand and competing pages. Prompt research explores the questions and follow-up tasks people may bring to answer engines. A keyword’s search volume is not the volume of an AI prompt, and a list of prompts does not prove that your audience asks them at a measurable frequency.

Start with a market and language rather than combining countries into one list. The same topic can have different terminology, competitors and commercial intent in another market. Missing demand or difficulty data should remain unknown, not be labeled easy.

Validate the opportunity

Inspect current results for important keywords and note the dominant format. For prompts, identify the decision, constraints and likely follow-up questions. Cross-check with customer conversations or support questions you have permission to use.

A useful content brief records the evidence behind its choice. Separate measured keywords, observed customer wording and exploratory prompts. This prevents a plausible AI-generated suggestion from being reported as established demand.

Choose the right GSEO entry point

GSEO Keyword & Prompt Research is a live standalone app with its own subscription and a free first research. Keyword Research, Citation Fan-out Audit, Trending Prompts and Market Trend Spotter are listed Editor modules.

The separate GSEO Prompt Research product is planned. Use its module page for launch information, not as a promise of a standalone tool you can buy today. Begin with the live research app when you need a focused entry point.

A practical workflow

  1. 1

Choose one country, language, audience and business outcome.

  2. 2

Collect keywords with their source, country, volume and difficulty where available.

  3. 3

Group conversational questions by task and validate the most useful ones.

  4. 4

Prioritize pages by relevance, evidence and ability to offer a useful next step.

A worked example

A Belgian software company expanding into English should research the actual target English-speaking market. Keep a measured query such as “SEO content optimization” separate from an exploratory prompt such as “which editor helps a small team update old content?” One can inform demand; the other can inform a comparison section.

Illustrative example, not a customer result.

Before you publish

  • Market and language are recorded.
  • Search volumes are not assigned to AI prompts.
  • Unknown difficulty is labeled unknown.
  • Each proposed page has a distinct reader task.
